Healthcare
HIPAA-Compliant Patient Portal
Gulf Coast Medical Group — Houston, TX
The Challenge
Gulf Coast Medical Group, a network of 14 clinics serving over 85,000 patients across the Greater Houston area, was relying on a fragmented collection of legacy systems for patient communication. Appointment scheduling required phone calls during business hours, lab results were delivered via physical mail, and providers had no secure channel for patient messaging. Patient satisfaction scores had dropped to 62%, and administrative staff were spending an estimated 340 hours per month on tasks that could be automated.
Our Solution
We designed and built a fully HIPAA-compliant patient portal integrated with their existing Epic EHR system. The portal features online appointment scheduling with real-time availability, secure messaging between patients and care teams, lab result viewing with automated notifications, prescription refill requests, and a telehealth module for virtual visits. The entire platform was built on a HIPAA-compliant AWS infrastructure with end-to-end encryption, audit logging, and role-based access controls.
Logistics
Warehouse Management System
Meridian Logistics — Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
The Challenge
Meridian Logistics operates three distribution centers across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, processing over 12,000 shipments daily. Their existing warehouse management system was a 15-year-old on-premise application that could not scale to meet growing demand. Inventory accuracy was at 91%, order picking errors were costing $180,000 annually, and the system lacked real-time visibility into warehouse operations. Peak season throughput bottlenecks were causing SLA breaches with their largest retail clients.
Our Solution
We built a cloud-native warehouse management system with real-time inventory tracking, barcode and RFID scanning integration, intelligent pick-path optimization, and automated replenishment triggers. The system includes a real-time dashboard for warehouse managers, mobile apps for floor workers, and API integrations with their clients' ERP and order management systems. We implemented the solution in phases across all three facilities with zero downtime during the transition.
Financial Services
Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Migration
Lone Star Financial Credit Union — San Antonio, TX
The Challenge
Lone Star Financial Credit Union, serving 120,000 members across 18 branches, was running its core banking, loan origination, and member portal systems on aging on-premise servers that were approaching end-of-life. The infrastructure lacked redundancy, disaster recovery capabilities were limited to daily tape backups, and the IT team was spending 60% of their time on hardware maintenance rather than strategic initiatives. Regulatory examiners had flagged the disaster recovery gap as a material finding in two consecutive audits.
Our Solution
We designed and executed a phased multi-cloud migration strategy, moving workloads to a combination of AWS and Azure based on application requirements and compliance considerations. The migration included re-architecting the member portal as a cloud-native application, implementing active-active disaster recovery with a Recovery Point Objective of under 15 minutes, deploying Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for reproducible environments, and establishing a comprehensive monitoring and alerting framework. The entire migration was completed over 14 months with zero unplanned downtime.
Retail
Omnichannel Commerce Platform
Bayou Retail Group — Baton Rouge, LA
The Challenge
Bayou Retail Group, a regional chain of 22 home goods stores across Louisiana and Mississippi, had completely separate systems for in-store POS, e-commerce, and inventory management. Customers could not check online whether an item was in stock at their local store, online orders could not be picked up in-store, and inventory counts were reconciled manually once per week. The company was losing an estimated $2.1 million annually in missed sales due to inventory visibility issues and an inability to fulfill orders across channels.
Our Solution
We built a unified omnichannel commerce platform that connects all 22 stores, the e-commerce website, and a new mobile app into a single inventory and order management system. The platform features real-time inventory visibility across all locations, buy-online-pick-up-in-store (BOPIS) functionality, endless aisle capabilities allowing stores to fulfill orders from warehouse stock, unified customer profiles with purchase history across channels, and a centralized analytics dashboard for merchandising teams.
Cybersecurity
SOC 2 Compliance Program
Texoma Manufacturing — Sherman, TX
The Challenge
Texoma Manufacturing, a mid-size industrial components manufacturer with 280 employees, was expanding into the defense supply chain and needed SOC 2 Type II certification to qualify as a vendor for several major defense contractors. The company had no formal information security program, no dedicated security staff, and their IT environment included a mix of legacy Windows servers, unpatched workstations, and an open flat network architecture. They needed to achieve certification within 12 months to meet a contract deadline.
Our Solution
We conducted a comprehensive security gap analysis and built a complete SOC 2 compliance program from the ground up. This included network segmentation and firewall hardening, endpoint detection and response deployment across all 280 workstations, implementation of a SIEM solution with 24/7 monitoring, creation of 42 security policies and procedures, employee security awareness training for all staff, vulnerability management program with monthly scanning, and incident response plan development and tabletop exercises. We managed the entire audit process with an independent auditor and achieved certification two months ahead of schedule.
Data Analytics
Enterprise BI Dashboard Suite
Bayou Energy Corp — Houston, TX
The Challenge
Bayou Energy Corp, a mid-stream energy company with 450 employees and operations across Texas and Oklahoma, was drowning in data but starving for insights. Critical business data was siloed across SAP, Salesforce, a custom field operations system, and dozens of Excel spreadsheets maintained by individual departments. Executive leadership was making decisions based on reports that were 2-3 weeks old, and creating a single cross-departmental report required days of manual data gathering and reconciliation by analysts.
Our Solution
We designed and implemented a modern data platform anchored by a Snowflake data warehouse, with automated ETL pipelines pulling data from all source systems into a unified data model. On top of this foundation, we built a suite of 18 interactive Power BI dashboards covering financial performance, operational efficiency, pipeline throughput, safety metrics, and customer analytics. The platform includes automated data quality checks, role-based access control, scheduled report delivery, and self-service data exploration capabilities for business analysts.
